Powerseal Nigeria Ltd.

Powerseal Nigeria Limited (PNL) started off as a Civil Engineering and Construction Company way back in 1989 when it commenced the manufacturing a cement-based coating known as CEMTEX at it’s factory located at No 11 Inuwa  Abdulkadir  Road , Kakuri , Kaduna South Industrial Area  , Kaduna .It was originally jointly owned by a British and his Nigerian Partner ,Late Rtd Col Ahmadu Yakubu .PNL was acquired in 1999 by a private family-owned company , PELA LIMITED , under the Chairmanship of Engr Ibrahim Usman .

With the change in ownership, PNL diversified it’s product base and introduced high class traditional liquid paints---emulsion ,powertex and gloss in addition to oil-based undercoats and primers . Apart from Paints , PNL also now has a concrete department that produces interlocking paving stones that are geometrically designed to interlock open spaces in residential terraces, traffic and pedestrian walkways, road embarkments etc. The concrete interlocks from Powerseal are second to none in quality because apart from the fact that they are mechanically vibrated , they are cured professionally and the best quality materials and very unique molds are used for their production .

PNL is a very active member of  both the Manufacturers Association Of Nigeria (MAN) and the Paint Manufacturers Association Of Nigeria (PMAN). In fact , Engr Usman , is currently the Branch Chairman of MAN (Kaduna S/E Branch ) and he is also a National Council Member of both MAN and PMAN. PNL is actively involved internationally especially with the United States Commercial Service Nigeria and is therefore a registered member of NUSA .It is similarly active with the UKTI and has been represented by it’s Executive Chairman in the POWERGEN trade show in the US as well as in SOLARPOWER road show in the UK and very recently in the 5th INDIAN NUCLEAR POWER CONCLAVE in New Delhi.

In view of PNL’s desire to play an active role in the Power Sector,it has completed arrangements to partner with two prominent international players in this sector .This technical partnership arrangement is to be executed through the new subsidiary , Technical Associates (West Africa) Limited

TECHNICAL ASSOCIATES (WEST AFRICA) LIMITED (TAWAL)

This technical joint venture company is primarily set up for the development of a sustainable  and competitive energy sector knowing fully well that Nigeria can never reach it’s fullest potential without squarely  addressing the issue of Power. TAWAL is  presently in the final stage of signing two separate Technical Joint Venture Agreements with two international reputable companies and will among other things be involved in Power Generation, Distribution and design and construction of  transmission and sub-stations.

Apart from providing consultancy services in the different aspects of power , this company intends to play a major role in the  local manufacturing, importation , sales and distribution of essential power sector consumables including transformers, different types of cables, connectors, insulators etc . It also has plans to partner with other players in the industry to set up transformer repairs and complete overhaul centres in different parts of the country .

Care & Support Services (An NGO)

This is an unregistered Non- Government Organisation (NGO) which has for many years quitely assisted widows, orphans and the needy especially at the height of the HIV & AIDS pandemic when drugs due to their high costs were out of reach to most of those infected. In Nigeria the large private sector is unregulated and most importantly has no formal connection to the public health system where most HIV & AIDS interventions are delivered by a very corrupt and inept civil service growing fat on donors funds. And that is precisely why Care & Support  is not registered as it does not want to be part of the rot !
